What is a Finnish hot tub?
A Finnish hot tub is an outdoor pool heated by a wood-burning stove. The water in the hot tub is heated naturally, without electricity or complicated technology. Just the way the Finns do it: simple, effective and mindful of the moment.
Traditionally, a Finnish hot tub is made entirely of wood, but at Welvaere we combine this authentic design with modern comfort: a plastic inner tub for optimal hygiene and insulation, with a beautiful wooden surround that provides that true Scandinavian look.
How does a Finnish hot tub work?
A Finnish hot tub runs on a wood-fired stove, so you fill the tub with water, light the stove and let it slowly come up to temperature. It averages between 37 and 40 degrees. Depending on the season and the amount of water, heating up takes about 2 hours.
At Welvaere , you can choose from a variety of external stoves. The stoves give that cozy, crackling experience of real wood fire and it's extra nice if you can use leftover wood from the garden. Good for your wallet and the atmosphere.
