From a garden full of hot tubs to a leading wellness brand

Sometimes great things start in the most unexpected places. For Welvaere , that was a backyard, where an enterprising student simply wanted a hot tub to relax outside. But if he wanted one, he had to pay for it himself - according to his father. And so the adventure began. One hot tub soon became more, until the garden was so full there wasn't a blade of grass left. Time for a place of their own. A building was found a block away and with a Chamber of Commerce registration, EasyBubbels was a fact.

But as with any good journey, there was a twist in the story. Sales of hot tubs were stalled by regulations, and the student - now an entrepreneur - had to look for a new direction. He found it in wood-fired wellness. Hot tubs and saunas brought the same relaxation, but with an artisanal and natural character. From a simple retail outlet, the business grew into a place where we developed, built and sold our own wellness products.

A group of friends with a mission

From the beginning, Welvaere did not feel like a standard company, but more like a group of friends with a common passion: getting people to enjoy relaxation in the outdoors. Working hard, laughing a lot and always wanting to move forward. That atmosphere remained, even as more and more people joined. The group grew, but the mentality remained the same: cozy, driven and a little cocky.

as a good story evolves, so did the name. Why use three different names for one company? There was no logical answer, so Welvaere was born. Inspired by the Norwegian word Velvaere (wellness), but with its own twist. A name that suited the growing ambition to make outdoor relaxation accessible to as many people as possible.

From craftsmanship to European growth

With that ambition in mind, Welvaere continued to grow. We opened physical locations in Germany, Belgium and France and developed our own products. We now design our saunas completely in-house so that we can guarantee the highest quality.

But we are always looking ahead. That's why the focus is now on online growth in Europe. We launched an English-language webshop and are investigating where the demand for wellness is greatest, both among individuals and in the business market. Because the more people we let enjoy Quality Time Outdoors, the better.
