A clean hot tub

There are different hot tub tubs. You have smooth tubs, embossed tubs or all-wood tubs. The tubs of our Ducktubs are all smooth and consist of as many as seven layers of fiberglass reinforced plastic with three different coatings on top. For the enthusiast; MAXGUARD SW Gelcoat, AME VPRO Barrier coating, AROPOL M 105 and ENGUARD Topcoat. This protects the tub from UV light, chlorine and corrosion. And the hot tub will last for years!

Not only does this have a great advantage for the life of the tub, but it is also easy to keep clean. Because of the light gray color of the tub, any deposits are easy to see and easy to remove. The moment you see an edge on the water line, you can wipe it away with your hand. With wooden tubs, tubs embossed or made of another material, this is a lot more difficult.

What cleaning products should I use for the hot tub?

You can choose a special cleaner for hot tub tubs, all-purpose cleaner or a soak with dish soap or green soap. You don't need harsh agents like bleach or chlorine for this.

Cleaning the outside of the hot tub

Of course, some dirt may get on the outside of the hot tub. You don't need a cleaner for this. Often this is some splashing water from rain or mud or leaves, for example. This can be rinsed off the wooden surround with the garden hose during cleaning.

Want to keep the exterior nice and good? Then we recommend maintaining it regularly with Tar Oil for best results. Tar Oil has highly impregnating properties that keep moisture from penetrating the wood. It protects the wood of the hot tub and sauna from drying out and cracking, and you retain the beautiful color of the wood.

Clean hot tub water

An important part of a clean hot tub is the quality of the water. Do you want your tub to stay clean? Then also make sure your water is always clean. You can ensure this by adding a filtration system during the purchase. Combined with AquaClean and a small chlorine tablet, for example, your water will stay well clean.

Don't have this? No problem! Even without a filter, you can make sure the water stays clean. It will just not be clean as long as with a filter system. Make sure you replace the water with clean water on time. Not using the hot tub for a while? Then never leave the water in it, but clean it and put the lid back on. This will keep the hot tub clean and fresh the next time you use it. If you do have a filter, it is not a problem to leave water in it for a longer period of time without using it.
