Relax daily in your own wellness paradise

In beautiful Limburg, Andrégo and his girlfriend enjoy a Ducktub Extern as well as Tønsauna 330 in the garden. Through the panorama window in the sauna or from the lovely warm water in the hot tub, they look out over their cozy garden. We spoke to Andrégo about their weekly and sometimes even daily sauna sessions, what not to miss in the hot tub and sauna and his favorite moments.

From looking for a sauna to a real wellness garden with sauna and hot tub

Andrégo and his girlfriend wanted an outdoor sauna in their garden. Andrégo explains, "We often went to the sauna. Not to the big wellness centers but to saunas you can rent privately. When we were renewing our garden we thought, why not try to make it a nice wellness garden with an outdoor sauna."

For that wellness garden, they searched online and ended up at Welvaere. "It's quite a long drive from Limburg to Nijkerk for us, but we decided to take a look anyway. When we were there I actually really liked a hot tub. At first we didn't intend to, but then we decided to buy both right away."

"My girlfriend said the hot tub was really for me, she thought only a sauna was enough. But when the hot tub came a little earlier than the sauna, she really liked the hot tub too and was very happy that we did this anyway."

Feeling good and healthy through the sauna

If you follow Andrégo on Instagram, you'll see right away what his hobby is: cycling. And if you exercise a lot, it's also nice to give your body some rest. "We both really notice that if you go to the sauna frequently and you really keep up with it, you sleep more restfully, your skin seems much healthier and you just feel incredibly good. You come out of the sauna nice and fresh and healthy. In the hot tub, we chose jets for massage, so that's nice too."

Relax all year round

How often Andrégo uses his wellness products varies a bit. "There are weeks when we use the sauna daily, but on average once or twice a week. We use the hot tub a little less often now. In the winter and especially with frost, we leave it empty, so if we want to use it for a weekend, it's just a matter of filling it up and firing it up, and then we can enjoy it. In the summer when it's really hot, we use the hot tub again more than the sauna."

Enjoying together, but also alone

"In the hot tub, we usually go together. Then when we are free the next day, we bring a glass of wine and sometimes we sit in the water for 2 hours at a time. We'll also ask the kids to heat up some pizza for example, so we can stay in it."

"In the sauna we usually go together, but it also happens regularly that I am home a little earlier or have a day off. When it's cold outside I heat up the sauna, it warms up in 40 minutes, and then I go in alone. I also sometimes heat it up for the kids, especially my friend's daughter likes to go in there too."

Enjoyment like in a spa

Andrégo doesn't just sit in the sauna and be done with it. They make sauna sessions as complete as possible. "For example, I also often do an infusion with scented water. We always put on a wellness music, for which I have compiled a playlist on Spotify. We made a box on the outside, so you can hear the music softly inside. And for cooling down, I made myself a garden shower."

Extended and faster relaxation sessions

"For the hot tub, you just have to have a little more time, it also takes a little longer to fire it up. The sauna is actually for any time of the day. I fire it up and a little later I can get in. It's nice in the weekend, if you're free the next day and have time, but I also go in the sauna when I'm working. Then you really unwind after a working day."

"I really notice a difference on days when I do and don't go in the sauna. If I'm really busy and I don't get around to going in the sauna for a few days, I really miss that relaxation and I'm like I really want to go in the sauna right now."

Tip from Andrégo

"We went for the Tønsauna 330 because we wanted enough sauna space so that you can also both lie in it. Personally, I wouldn't skimp on the sauna space, better a little too big than too small. It seems to me that you will regret it if you can't really lie down in the sauna in a relaxed way."

"People sometimes come to visit us (now that we have the hot tub and sauna, more than before, haha!) who all want to go in the sauna too. Sometimes the four of you go in and then you can't lie down. And that's just a little different."
