On the way home after vacation stop by Welvaere
Saskia and her husband, in their search for a hot tub and sauna, came across Welvaere online . The pictures looked good, but of course they wanted to see the products in real life. It took a while to find a good time, but they found the perfect solution.
Saskia: "We had already contacted them and wanted to go by and have a look, but we are always off on Mondays and the showroom is also closed then. So we had to find out when we could drive from Belgium to the Netherlands. We then put the plan aside for a while. When we drove back home from our vacation in Norway in 2020, we had to drive through the Netherlands. That was on a Thursday, so then we drove straight to Nijkerk and ordered the hot tub and sauna. That worked out perfectly!"
Double enjoyment with Ducktub and Tønsauna in the garden
A dream for many; a real wellness paradise with a hot tub and sauna in the garden. That must be wonderful enjoyment. "We like it very much. We are going to add a piece to our house and are even thinking of adding a second hot tub. Right now the hot tub is under a pergola and then we would like to put the other hot tub in the garden without a roof over it. That seems really nice, too."
Their garden style Saskia would describe as rural. With loungers to lounge on and wooden blocks to sit on. "We also added a rusty pizza oven. My husband is very handy himself and looks a lot on Pinterest to get ideas. Especially since we are obviously in the process of expanding. For example, we would also like an outdoor kitchen, so that inspiration comes in handy."
The sauna more for winter and the hot tub for any season
Saskia and her family use the sauna more in the winter than in the summer. They do light the hot tub about 4 or 5 times a week. "Because the water needs a few hours to warm up, I light the hot tub before I go to work. Then I wait until it burns completely and just before I leave I add some more wood. By the time I get home then, if it hasn't been on the previous day, the water is about 25 degrees and I only need to heat it up another 12 degrees. That's a good tip for people with hot tubs."
With a hot tub session comes conviviality
Usually Saskia and her husband go in the hot tub as a couple or together their son and daughter-in-law. They always create a nice atmosphere then. "We put on some music, have cozy lights hung there and light the candles. I also like to bring a bottle now and then! We always make it very cozy."
With an aroma, they infuse the water in the hot tub with a wonderful scent. "We do have a filter system, but when you take the cover off you still smell the water a little bit. An aroma like that, especially the birch scent, makes it wonderful then. I also use the aromas in the sauna during updrafts."
Relaxation and delightful unwinding are sure to succeed
"We bought the sauna purely for relaxation. Especially in the winter, we love to warm up in it. In the winter, I also really enjoy going into the hot tub in the evening. When it's so cold, it's cozy and nice and warm to go into the tub."
In the summer, they prefer to enjoy water that is slightly less warm in the hot tub. "Then we go in it after a busy work day. My husband and I are both self-employed and very busy, so then it's great to recover in the hot tub or sauna."
