Maintenance: super easy!
If you have a Tønsauna, then of course you want it to be nice and fresh in the garden for as long as possible. With a few easy steps you can make sure of that!
- Once a year treat the wooden frame with Tar Oil
- Regularly wipe warm water (and possibly SaunaClean) on the inside
- Emptying the ash tray every time
- Buy more maintenance products in our own webshop
Warm up and relax
With the Tønsaunas from 2 meters and up, you choose whether you want to heat the sauna electrically or wood-fired. Start heating at least an hour in advance and let the warmth embrace you.

Sauna and hot tub
When we were at Welvaere I actually really liked a hot tub too. At first it was not to be, but then we decided to buy both right away.
Sauna installed to complete satisfaction
We like it very much. We bought the sauna purely for relaxation. Especially in winter, we love to warm up in it. We light the hot tub about 4 or 5 times a week.
Enjoying together with the whole family
I like the hot tub incredibly well. I have also used the hot tub much more than I expected. Even in the summer time, when it was a perfect little pool for the kids.
A vacation feeling every day
So delicious. We also opted for the bubbly. When we get out of work we go in for a treat. I cook in my bikini and bathrobe these days! So I can get right back in after dinner. You just always feel like you're on vacation when you get home.
Enjoying the Ducktub under the Spanish sun
In the evening, we enjoy with a nice drink with it, a wine, beer or just a soda. I also love to read in the hot tub. If I'm up earlier in the morning I go in with my book. That really is an extra pampering moment.

We have been to the showroom twice
It was really nice to see how the hot tubs are made, what options are available and also the atmosphere was very good. When you arrive, it feels like you are entering a wellness center.

Wondering how we make our products?
We are the designers and largely makers of our products, products that we ourselves are completely fan of. At Welvaere you will find several production halls and factories where many products take shape, all on Dutch soil.
We like to have as much as possible in our own hands. In this way we ensure high quality products. In Nijkerk you will find the production hall for our Ducktub hot tubs and we also design our Tønsaunas.
The material of our saunas
We consciously choose to work with high-quality materials. Because the saunas are made entirely of wood, we have chosen a type of wood that will last a very long time; thermo wood. This type of wood lasts about 15 to 20 years and has the same properties as the well-known Red Cedar. It is best to treat this wood so that it retains its beautiful brown tint.
The benches and the floor inside the sauna are from Ayous and do not get hot so you can sit on them quietly. Also for the other components we have chosen high-quality brands such as heaters from Harvia and HUUM.
