Outdoor sauna heating

If you want to get the most out of your outdoor sauna, it is of course important that it is properly warm. How hot depends on your personal preferences. But on average it is around 75 to 95 degrees. How to heat your outdoor sauna we tell you here!

Outdoor sauna electric or wood-fired heating

The outdoor sauna is originally a Scandinavian product. Ideal for warming up and relaxing during the incredibly cold and dark winter months. In Sweden, Norway and Finland it is impossible to imagine a garden without a sauna. In the rest of Europe, outdoor saunas are also appearing in more and more gardens.

Delight in a warm Tønsauna, leaving all the worries of the day behind you completely. With the sound of a crackling fire in the background. That fire is what makes an outdoor sauna such a special experience. But, would you rather not have a fire? An electric sauna heater also brings the temperature inside the sauna to unprecedented levels. Both options are wonderful!

Our barrel sauna: The Tønsauna

Barrel saunas provide optimal relaxation and freedom. With a barrel sauna you never have to visit a wellness resort again, you just have this in your own backyard. Away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life was rarely so accessible and close at hand. Carefree relaxation and letting time slip by is then not difficult at all, in a barrel sauna it happens all by itself.

Outdoor sauna heating with wood stove

You get more atmosphere and character in your sauna by heating it wood-fired. Heating the sauna is best done with the Swiss firing method. With the Swiss method of heating, the fire burns from top to bottom. You can make the stove burn harder or softer by opening or closing the air supply further. The sauna will rise through the even heat of the stove to a temperature you find comfortable. Has that temperature been reached? Then adjust the air supply of the sauna heater so that the fire continues to simmer quietly.

Enjoy steam and fine fragrances

In your own sauna, of course, you don't have anyone waving the steam at you with a cloth cloth like in a sauna complex or spa. Nor is this necessary in a sauna at home. Because the sauna room is a lot smaller than that in a sauna complex, the steam quickly falls over you as a wonderfully warm blanket. Would you like to make your own sauna infusion even more intense? Then choose to add a delicious fragrance to the water. For example, mint, pine or eucalyptus.

Electric heating

Heating the sauna with an electric heater is very simple. You connect the heater to power and you turn it on by control switch or by the wifi modules. The desired temperature is often personal. For beginners, 75 degrees is a nice temperature to start with. This can be slowly built up to about 100 degrees. After turning on the heater, wait about 25 minutes and you can enjoy the wonderful heat in the sauna.
