From inflatable spa to Ducktub

Manon: "Friends of ours bought a hot tub and sauna from you earlier this year. They kept saying it would also be something for us. We did have one of those inflatable spas, but I didn't use it much. You really sit on the floor and it was a lot of hassle with electricity. My husband really likes to sit in a hot tub, so then he said come on, let's have a look anyway."

"So then we drove to the showroom in Nijkerk, which is a few hours away from us. When we arrived it turned out you had a team outing in the afternoon, but the salesman still took the time for us and we could test-sit. Immediately I said, ah this is comfortable. You just sit on a bench, I can either stretch my legs and lie down or just sit. Then I was like, this is a lot more comfortable. And of course it looks nice, with the wood and the stove there. We were really sold pretty quickly."

The Ducktub Ovalti perfect for quality time as a couple

"We really enjoy being at home together and found this model to be a good fit for that. Inviting friends over and going in the hot tub with six people, for example, is of course very cozy, but if you spend most of your time in it just the two of you, it's a waste to have such a big hot tub that you have to fill and fire up every time."

A back massage and cozy bubbles

"Now that fall has started we're in it more than in the summer. When we got it it was still super hot, so you didn't really even have to heat it up much and it was more to cool down. But now that the cold nights have started we love it. We go in it almost every night. For example, after exercising we also really like to get in it for a while."

"As an extra, we opted for a jet system on two sides. That way we both have a massage in the back. I sometimes have trouble with my lower back, from working out or when I've done a big exercise with sports. Then it's so nice. And it bubbles nicely, too."

Nice and warm on cold nights

"When we use the hot tub at night, the water usually cools down to about 32 degrees. We then heat it up to 42 degrees. That sounds really hot, but before we eat we fire it up and it's about 38 degrees when we get in. Then before we get in, we put the stove up one more time and then it gets warmer as you sit in it. Then it's very doable and very tasty!"

"We don't have a filter system, so we change the water once a week. We do use a little chlorine and aquaclean and it works fine. The advantage of this model is that it's quick to empty, clean and refill within three quarters of an hour."

In all weathers: a moment every day for each other in the outdoors

"We live rural and you can see that in the garden. We have a large lawn and the hot tub is on a stone terrace under a canopy of wood with a super cozy lounge area and lights. That way we are always nice and dry."

"We really make it a moment when we go in the hot tub. We don't just sit there quietly and be done with it. Chatting about the day and with some music in the background, we end the day together in a cozy way. During the week we just drink a glass of water and on weekends we bring a beer or wine."

"I always like to see that you naturally start to vaporize; the water vaporizes but so do you yourself. Then it really feels like you're in a spa. Because we want to do as long as possible with the water, we haven't used aromas yet, but we are going to try that soon. I think that completes it. By the way, we do use the Welvaere Aromas inside the diffuser, which is also lovely. "

Keep the snow coming!

"We have already had a lot of beautiful moments with sunsets and beautiful skies, which of course I have taken a lot of pictures of. My husband is really looking forward to winter and is really hoping for snow. He can totally see it. I often help him out with the dream that first we have to wait and see if it will snow at all. But it would be wonderful! Of course we would have to shovel some snow into it just to get the idea, because we are sitting under the roof, haha."

Enjoy every day, without too much effort

"I think it's so nice and easy that you can just walk into the backyard here and relax for an hour. Without having to drive somewhere, change there and that kind of hassle. That's really the added value for us. And I notice that when I've sat in it at night I sleep super well that night, really a difference from when I haven't sat in it. It just makes you much more relaxed, especially after exercise. We put our heads on the edge and can really relax."
