Being light again at Ducktub External

Vivianne: "We have actually been looking at a hot tub for about two years. My boyfriend recently got another job, so he is home more often in the evenings, on weekends and holidays. That was the time to buy one. I am heavily pregnant and we thought it would be nice to have it soon. We already had our sights set on it so we thought, if they have a readily available hot tub, that would be great. And they did! So within 4 days the hot tub was in our garden."

Being light again in the hot tub

"We really like the hot tub! We go in it about four times a week for a few hours. With the cover on, we only need to heat it up a few degrees each time and then we can go back in again. Because we use dry wood and fire it using the Swiss method, the smoke is not too bad."

Vivianne also enjoys going into a slightly cooler hot tub on hot days. "If we've been in it in the evening, then if it's that hot the next day I go in it in the afternoon. The water is still about 33 degrees then, which is great for cooling off in with some higher outside temperatures. It's also very relaxing to go in now that I'm pregnant. You're just light again and you can bubble up. You really unwind for a while."

A green garden with wooden elements

They live in a 1950s semi-detached house. "The house itself is quite small, but we have a garden over 30 feet deep. So the hot tub is not in our way. It's a nice spot where no one can see us. We have a green garden with a lot of wood. There is a large gazebo and we have a tall beech hedge, about 3 meters high." So a lovely sheltered spot!

Plan for this summer: wine and dine & finish in the hot tub

"When we go in the hot tub, we always bring a nice drink and often put on some music. We also use the aromas, which we love. Then when we turn on the bubbles, we can really relax. After those two years of corona, we have actually made our garden a nice base. For example, we made a home gym/barn, where we often work out before we get in the hot tub. And we like to wine and dine with friends and then it is very nice to finish in the hot tub. Especially with the little one on the way, it will soon be a lot of fun. Then we will also be more at home and we can enjoy together in the hot tub."

The filtration system was not to be missed

We always advise customers at Welvaere to get a filtration system. This saves a lot of work cleaning the hot tub. Vivianne had thought about this beforehand, too. "We did want a hot tub, but I did say right away, I don't feel like draining it and having to clean it every week. If I want to enjoy it, I just want to be able to light the hot tub and get right into it. The idea of a Jacuzzi but nice and natural, wood-fired. That really suits us."
