Not really a bad person

"So I'm not a bath person at all. I always think I want to take a bath, but that lasts right up until the moment I'm actually in it. The first few minutes are okay, but then what? I can't read a book and I find my phone too tricky, so after 10 minutes I'm bored out of my mind."

"My kids, on the other hand, just love it. They can entertain themselves for hours in the bathtub. But even in the summer when the temperature goes above 25 degrees, they are sweet with their inflatable bathtub. But always when I need that inflatable case it's broken, lost or there's one lying moldy on a shelf in the shed."

"So I usually have to first look for a store for a new one, which I then pump up and fill with ice-cold water so that within five minutes our kids are blue from the cold already looking for their towel again. I find it a lot of effort for little pleasure. So when we were remodeling our yard I didn't want a trampoline, climbing frame or slide but a pool for the kids. "

"My husband was skeptical. About the space, the water consumption and the overall need for such a decadent luxury item. She was having a great time in that inflatable pool, right? We decided to visit the showroom, where the gentleman from Welvaere patiently and carefully explained what a hot tub would cost, how much space it would take up, and what the advantages and disadvantages were. And as it turned out, the purchase was pricey but the cost of use turned out to be less than expected. The man of the house was reassured and the hot tub was put together."

"At first we opted for a simple expense. After all, water and fire were our only requirements, but we soon came to the conclusion that a few bubbles and a light for us parents were just the little extras that could convince us to use it in the evening. We left out the filter; after all, we wouldn't use it very much. "

Personally delivered by Welvaere

"After six weeks, the hot tub was delivered to our home and set in place through the French doors right through the house. The tub was filled, the stove fired up and within three hours the first children were able to use it and as soon as they were in bed we got in. The bath proved to be not only fun for occasional use. Weekends were stretched longer and before we knew it we were in it every day."

"Due to our intensive use, a filter had become necessary. Emptying, cleaning, filling and reheating the tub after three days was time-consuming and meant that the hot tub could not be used for a day. We thought it was a waste, so the mechanic came to connect the filter system*. Since then we can do three weeks with the water before we have to change it. Still not fun but much better than every three days. "

(*Nfortunately, it is currently no longer possible to connect a filter system at a later time).

The hot tub we wanted

"By now our hot tub is completely to our liking. We did have some problems with heating during the first few weeks. We live in a neighborhood where the houses are close together and the last thing you want is for your neighbors to be bothered by your stoking. There turned out to be several ways to fire and we decided to try them out. We ended up firing onsekop and that, together with choosing the right wood (well dry and without bark) and an extra meter of stove pipe (making it rise above the embankment), ensured that the smoke production is minimal and no one is bothered when we fire up the hot tub. "

"I can really only think of one drawback and that is the powerful motor of the bubbles. It's so loud that it's hard to understand each other when you're in the hot tub and that's fine for adults, they just talk a little louder or shut up, but kids tend to scream over sound. And so there's no on and off switch on those kids of mine, especially when they're having a good time. So I regularly felt like a tokkie family because of all the screaming and yelling in and around my hot tub. So to the endless yelling of: "please be quiet!" we have a rule that the bells stay off when the kids are in it, and it helps."

A great success even if you are not a bath person

But the hot tub is also a great success for us. Especially in the evening, when the cold has chilled us to our bones, we take off our clothes and rush through the darkness to our bubbling stew.

Pure enjoyment...... Even if you're not a bath person.
