Heating the water with a wood stove
On average, with a good wood stove and firewood, a hot tub is ready for use in as little as 2 hours. But here you also have to fire the right way. We always use the Swiss way to fire. This is not only fast but also produces the least amount of smoke! Read more about this method here.
Heating the water electrically
Heating a hot tub electrically takes longer than heating with a wood stove, about 1 to 2 degrees per hour. This makes it best to leave the element on continuously. A big advantage of a hot tub that is always warm is that you can get in at any time.
How long does it take for a hot tub to heat up?
On average, a wood-fired hot tub takes between 1.5 and 4 hours to heat up. Using a thermometer in the water helps to accurately measure the temperature. We recommend heating to a temperature of 38 degrees Celsius for the perfect bathing experience.
How do you get a hot tub hot quickly?
Heating a wood-fired hot tub can be done in several ways, but the best way is to start with small, dry logs. Add these gradually to the hot tub stove and make sure the air supply is optimal. This ensures efficient combustion and rapid heating of the water.
