You are the lucky owner of your own sauna in the garden or on your roof terrace. What a luxury! After the necessary rounds of relaxing in your own sauna, it is also sometimes time to clean it. Because, the sauna really does get dirty. You can't use all the detergent you need to clean your sauna.
Clean your sauna regularly. Make sure it becomes as much of a habit as cleaning your stove. You always want to sit in a clean sauna, nice and fresh. So when you do this cleaning with some regularity, it is not a big job all at once!
As nice as it is to have your own sauna, and not have to share it with strangers. Always use a towel to lie on or sit against. This way you catch the necessary sweat with the towel and it doesn't soak into the benches. Of course, you throw that towel in the wash immediately after the session so that it will be completely clean for the next round.
When your sauna is outside in the garden, coarse dirt can easily get into the sauna. Leaves and sand stuck to your feet or slippers easily enter the sauna. Of course, this can be easily removed with a dustpan and brush or vacuum cleaner.
For the benches and wooden floor, we recommend that you do not use an all-purpose cleaner. For these, purchase a special sauna cleaner, such as Sauna Clean. This is specially designed for cleaning your sauna. Don't have this? Don't panic! You can also just use clean, warm water. Run a cloth over the benches, let it dry and it's clean!
When the sauna is outside, you can of course splash sand against it. You can simply rinse this off with a hose and some water.
Are there stains in the sauna that you can't get out with water or detergent? Then you can always get them out by sanding the wood. It is important that you use fine sandpaper and always sand with the grain of the wood.
Cleaning the stove is done by sweeping the ashes out of the stove with a dustpan and brush. You can easily clean the window with tea. You use a moist tea bag, which can easily be the bag you just drank tea from, so it certainly does not have to be a new one. You can choose to wipe the stove window with the tea bag. Or just use a cup of strong tea with a piece of kitchen roll. You will wipe the dirt right off the pane.
If this does not work, you can also clean the stove with some ash from the stove. In fact, ash and charcoal have a tremendous cleaning effect.
