What materials you need to install a hot tub

First, of course, you need a hot tub. In this, we offer a wide range of hot tubs, from standard models to completely customized hot tubs. All are of high quality and unique designs. You also need a solid surface, such as gravel, a deck or solid tiles. Don't forget water and electricity connections.

Required tools for installing a hot tub

You can't do without good tools. What do you need?

  • Possibly a shovel and/or rake for preparing the substrate;
  • Level to ensure the hot tub is perfectly straight as soon as it is delivered;
  • Power drill, screwdrivers and a ring wrench bit (M10) for the drill for any assembly work;
  • Garden hose for water connection.

Built-in or freestanding hot tub in the garden?

You have a choice between a built-in hot tub or a freestanding hot tub. Both have their own charm and advantages. A built-in hot tub gives a luxurious look and can be perfectly integrated into your garden design. A freestanding hot tub is flexible and easier to move if needed. Consider your available space, budget and personal preferences when making your choice.

What is the best place for a hot tub in the garden?

The location of a hot tub in your own garden is important for ease of use and atmosphere. Choose a spot that is sheltered from the wind, but where you can still enjoy the view. A sunny spot causes the water to heat up faster, while a spot with shade can be nice in the summer. This, of course, is up to your own preference. Also, make sure the spot is easily accessible.

What substrate should be under a hot tub?

The surface is essential to the stability of your hot tub. A firm, level surface is a must. Gravel, a decking or sturdy tiles/paving are ideal because they can support the weight of the hot tub and prevent it from sinking. Avoid soft surfaces, such as grass or sand.

Water drainage for the hot tub in the garden

Proper water drainage is important to ensure that the water can be drained quickly and efficiently. Thus, there is a gardena coupling on the hot tub, which allows you to easily drain the water via your garden hose and use it to water your garden in the summer 😉

How much space do you need for a hot tub in the garden?

The space required depends on the size of the hot tub you choose. On average, you need a free space of at least 2.5x2.5 meters for a compact hot tub. For larger models you will obviously need more space. Our experts will be happy to advise you on this. Also take into account extra space around for maintenance and easy entry and exit.
