The Cuber Suites all have dark interiors and have lots of glass, so your gaze is immediately drawn outside. You are not standing on an open lawn as you often see, but you are really looking out on pristine nature. The beautiful nature you look out on is your cinema.

Ultimate experience of tranquility in the sauna

Of the 28 suites, 22 are without a spa, 3 with a sauna and 3 with a hot tub. "We chose to add 3 barrel saunas, specifically with panoramic glass. You're so incredibly beautiful here in the Veluwe and that nature is our main USP, so we wanted them to be able to look right out from the sauna."

"We opted for the Tønsauna 400, which is a bit more spacious and has a changing room. The sauna is next to the suite, guests go there with a bathrobe, so we thought it would be nice for them to have some space and luxury there. It's actually bigger than necessary, because the target group always comes in pairs. But precisely because luxury is an important theme here, we wanted to offer that space and chose this model."

"We came across Welvaere during our competitive research looking at frontrunners in the industry. When we came across Welvaere here, we were triggered and had a chat and really it was then immediately 1 and 1 is 3."

Looking to the future

"We also chose the variant with the wifi module because in time we want to integrate it into the Cuber app, so that guests can turn on the sauna from the couch and when it's warm they get a signal and go there. That's still on our agenda for the future."

More bookings due to wellness

"The suites with sauna and with hot tub, we rent out more, so the occupancy rate is higher and in addition the daily rate is also higher. We see that there is a huge market for it, that people come more often and so they pay a little more for it. What also works for us is the scarcity, there are only 3. At follow-up locations, we will also definitely add variants with a sauna again."

Cuber's average satisfaction score sits at a 9.0, which of course Edwin is super proud of. "The suite with sauna we also get nothing but compliments about. it is also always used because people book it specifically, of course. Nothing but praise so far."

"What you see with our target group is that it is a real last minute booker. We target young couples and they don't book before the summer vacations. Usually it's two weeks or even a day in advance. The suites with sauna are only booked further ahead, seems like people don't want to run the risk that it might already be gone."

"A lesson in terms of offering wellness that can be shared with others is, create scarcity. That makes it more luxurious and more special. That makes for better numbers than if every guest has it."

And in addition, make sure you make it easy for yourself in the operation; especially with a sauna, this is very doable if you instruct your guests properly. We made a handy flyer with explanations and a video tutorial. And so you have few questions from guests and we have low maintenance.
