Recipe: grilled zucchini with parmesan

Looking for an easy and flavorful side dish for your wood-fired BBQ? This grilled zucchini with garlic butter, parmesan cheese and fresh parsley is a hit with everyone at the table. Ideal as a light snack, side dish or vegetarian highlight during your outdoor cooking session.

What you need (for 12 slices).

  • 2 zucchinis

  • 60 g Parmesan cheese

  • 10 g fresh parsley

  • 1 generous tablespoon of butter

  • 1 clove of garlic

  • Oil to grease the grill

Getting Started

1. Prepare

‍Cutthe zucchini each into 6 nice, even slices. Press the garlic and finely chop the parsley. Mix this together with the soft cream butter to make a fragrant garlic-spice butter.

2. Grill it up

‍Heatyour BBQ or grill and lightly grease the grill with oil so that the zucchini does not stick. Generously brush the slices with the butter mixture and sprinkle the Parmesan cheese on top.

3. Finish & enjoy

‍Placethe slices on the hot grill. Once the cheese is nicely melted and the zucchini is cooked with a slight grill edge, they are ready. Serve immediately - warm they are most delicious!

Tip from the BBQ chef: add a pinch of chili flakes to the butter if you like a little spice.
